Welcome to our moving headquarters! We'll be making lots of announcements regarding our move that will all end up here to make it easier to find. We are deeply grateful for your unwavering support and enthusiasm for the museum. You have made it the special place it is today, and we look forward to embarking on this next chapter with you. When are we closing?
As many of you may or may not know, the Findlay Mall will be closing on January 31, 2025. While this marks the end of an era for the museum at our current location, it also marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter. Our last day of operation in the Findlay Mall will be Sunday, January 19, 2025. During this time, we will continue to provide the engaging, hands-on experiences you’ve come to love. After January 19, we will focus on preparing for our move to a new home.
Where are we moving to?
We have been working diligently to identify the best possible location to ensure the museum continues to inspire children, connect families, and build community for years to come. We’ve narrowed down our options to two promising locations, and we are confident that our next space will offer even more opportunities for exploration, exhibits, programming, and play.
How can you help?
We will be moving an entire museum to a new home and that takes many hands. If you would be interested in volunteering your time (and muscles!) to move the museum, please email [email protected] and we can get you on the schedule. The initial bulk of manpower that we will be looking for will be between January 20-31, 2025 until we have our new home finalized.
Donate
With moving into a new location, there will be costs associated with the move, construction at the new location and loss of revenue for the time that we are closed during the transition. We would love it if you'd consider donating, here.

Memberships
Just like with the pandemic, all active memberships will be extended to account for the time we are closed during the move.
Birthday Parties and Field Trips
We understand that this transition may impact plans for some of our visitors. If you have a birthday party or field trip scheduled after January 20, our team will be reaching out to provide options and support.
